Sunshine, watermelon and pool time – summer is nearly here! It’s the season for adventure and discovery, and there is tons of fun to be had at Homestead this time of year. With a perfect location in Schertz, Texas, Homestead makes it easy to enjoy everything nearby New Braunfels and San Antonio have to offer. Even the littlest residents at Homestead can keep cool. The splash pad is perfect for letting toddlers and preschoolers get wet and have their own fun! - Nature Trails
With miles of nature trails at Homestead – five miles total at completion – there’s something to discover around every corner. Bring along a birdwatching guide, magnifying glass or plant identification book and see what you find! - Pavilion
Who doesn’t love barbecue? At the open-air pavilion, you can use the grilling stations to cook up a feast, and afterward roast some s’mores in the fireplace. - Great Lawn
The manicured great lawn is just the spot to play soccer, frisbee or have a water balloon fight! You can even plan a tournament with neighbors for some friendly competition. - Lifestyle Programs
Our Lifestyle Director, Cortney Pickett, plans a year-round calendar of events and activities, so there’s always something happening at Homestead! Favorite summer activities include things like s’mores parties, outdoor movies, grab-and-go craft or cocktail kits, a Fourth of July parade and more.
